Description of PC Non-drain Dripper
PC Non-drain (CNL) drippers are high-precision emitters engineered for advanced irrigation, featuring a sophisticated Pressure Compensating mechanism and a No-Drain (Non-Leak) function. The internal silicone diaphragm ensures a uniform flow rate regardless of inlet pressure fluctuations or terrain elevation, while the CNL feature automatically seals the emitter when the system pressure drops below a specific threshold (e.g., 0.15 to 0.20 bar). This prevents water from draining out of the pipes at lower elevations, keeping the lines full and ready for the next irrigation cycle.
These emitters are particularly essential for greenhouse hydroponics, pulse irrigation, and steep-slope farming. By maintaining a constant line pressure and preventing drainage, they eliminate “start-up lag,” ensuring that every plant receives the exact same amount of water and nutrients from the very first second the pump starts. Constructed from heavy-duty, UV-resistant plastics, these drippers resist chemical degradation from fertilizers and are designed with wide turbulent flow paths to minimize clogging, ensuring a long operational life in demanding agricultural environments.
Feature of PC Non-drain Dripper
Pressure Compensating (PC) Precision: Equipped with a high-grade silicone diaphragm, the dripper maintains a constant flow rate even when the input pressure varies between 0.5 and 4.0 bar. This ensures that plants at the start and end of the line receive the exact same volume of water.
CNL (No-Drain) Anti-Siphon Mechanism: The “Non-Leak” feature automatically seals the dripper when system pressure falls below a specific shut-off threshold (typically 0.15 to 0.20 bar). This prevents the irrigation lines from draining at the end of each cycle, keeping the system “primed” and ready for instant start-up.
Ideal for Pulse Irrigation: By keeping the lateral pipes full of water, these emitters eliminate the “fill-up” time. This is critical for greenhouse hydroponics and nurseries where short, frequent “pulse” watering cycles (lasting only minutes) are required for precise nutrient management.
Advanced Self-Flushing & Anti-Clogging: The dripper features a wide, turbulent flow path that creates high-velocity vortices. This design continuously flushes out debris and sediment during operation, significantly reducing the risk of clogging and lowering maintenance costs.
Heavy-Duty & Chemical Resistant: Manufactured from premium engineering plastics (POM/PP), these emitters are highly resistant to UV radiation and common agricultural chemicals/fertilizers. This ensures structural integrity and flow accuracy over many years of heavy-duty use in harsh climates.
Consistent Performance on Uneven Terrain: The PC technology makes these drippers the perfect choice for orchards or vineyards planted on steep slopes or undulating landscapes where gravity would otherwise cause uneven water distribution.

Expert Guide: Everything You Need to Know About PC Non-drain Dripper
Anti-leak Dripper vs. Dripper without Anti-leak Feature
The difference between anti-drip and non-anti-drip drippers lies in how they behave under a certain pressure range. An anti-drip dripper does not release a single drop of water when the system is within this pressure range. In contrast, a non-anti-drip dripper will allow water stored in the pipe to slowly seep out after the irrigation is turned off.
