Irrigation Products
for South Africa
Drip and micro-irrigation components for citrus orchards and table grape vineyards. Match each block to its soil, water source and operating pressure.
Site-specific decisions.
South Africa’s growing regions differ in rainfall, soils and terrain. Build your product list around the actual block, rather than treating every orchard or vineyard as the same irrigation job.

Match irrigation
to the root zone.
For orange, lemon and soft-citrus blocks, compare drip emitters with micro-sprinklers around tree age, soil wetting patterns and the required wetted area.
- Layout: position outlets for the developing root system and leave space for orchard operations.
- Hydraulics: check elevation, lateral length and pressure at representative outlets.
- Scheduling: use local weather, crop stage and soil-moisture observations—not a fixed watering time for every orchard.
Plan by block.
Adjust through the season.
South African table grapes are grown in regions including the Orange River, Berg River and Hex River valleys. Irrigation decisions should reflect each site’s conditions and stage of vine development.
- Row design: match emitter spacing and flow to soil wetting patterns and the root zone.
- Pressure control: evaluate pressure-compensating options where variation warrants them; stay within the model’s operating range.
- Access: place valves and flushing ends where crews can service them without disrupting vineyard work.

Know the water.
Check the pressure.
For river, dam or borehole supplies, start with water quality and measured pump performance. Match filtration to the contaminants and emitter requirements; a filter choice cannot be based on pipe diameter alone.
Allow for filter pressure loss, cleaning and accessible flushing points. Check operating pressure at the block inlet and at representative lateral ends.
Confirm actual pipe sizes, connection standards, pressure ratings and required product documentation before ordering.
